Free Thinkers Of Faith And Rosie Alfaro

We at Free Thinkers Of Faith.com don't condemn someone for the conduct which got them into trouble; our efforts are aimed at helping an individual who can't help themself. We ask the world's human family to consider the situation and offer any help possible. We at Free Thinkers Of Faith offer Rosie love and the best of wishes.

Rosie Alfaro is a 34 year old Mexican woman who has been on death row since she was 22 years old. She hopes that she will receive letters of friendship and support; Rosie also asks that you read her pen pal request:

Rosie's Pen Pal Request

"Prison is a very lonely place. You must always be on guard and very careful in trusting anyone. Many of these women, as it is for many prisoners, have lost contact with family or friends Women on Death Row also must deal with problems similar to those men on death row contend with, such as ineffective and inadequate defense counsel; misconduct by prosecutors or the police; struggles with drug and alcohol addictions; and having their co-defendant receive a reduced non- death sentence for testifying against them."

Background Of Rosie's Case

We the people at Free Thinkers Of Faith are not lawyers and do not give legal advice. We do have people that have certificates of completion in paralegal study. We also do demographic research to compare information for inconsistency with the combination of the two. This contributes to a clear understanding. Concerning the Rosie case, we used Rosie's docket entry sheet in order to better understand her conviction. The Rosie case was picked by Free Thinkers Of Faith.com because of our review of the docket entry sheet: we believe that Rosie was in over her head and not able to control or resolve her legal problems herself.

Here is how Rosie's docket sheet read: Before Rosie was arrested the police interviewed over 600 people. The police already knew what happened. The police believed Rosie did not commit the crime. The police only needed Rosie to explain what happened. The police had proof that Rosie was at the crime scene, but did not have proof to substantiate her death penalty conviction.

Rosie was in police custody three times. The police know Rosie was one of three people they were looking for: but they released Rosie every time after questioning her. The third time the police contacted Rosie, they detained her indefinitely. Rosie had two codefendants: one known and one unknown. Also, at the crime scene, was a car that could have identified the unknown defendant; however, the police didn't pursue this lead.

Rosie was video-taped and questioned for seven hours. Rosie was never informed that she was being charged with the death penalty. Under California law if a person commits a crime for financial gain and a person dies as a result of the crime, there is a mandatory death penalty.

Rosie asked the man who took her confession about her future. Rosie was not informed that she was facing the death penalty. By the time Rosie went to trial most of the evidence in her case was never used to discover the truth. It was stated by the District Attorney that Rosie committed the crime alone. There were no blood test results. The confession was not allowed to be viewed by the jury. The District Attorney stated it was too long and both codefendants present weren't scrutinized about their involvement in the crime.

We the people at Free Thinkers Of Faith would only like to see justice in the Rosie case. Let the truth be known: the life you save may be your own. Signed, Kenny Cobb Administrator

Rosie's Poem

Who Said?

They say we must die before we multiply,
I say we must keep on living and not digging
the hole for our awaiting killing.

They say that I'm wicked so I must die.
I say I ain't got no ticket to be wicked
so I just titter cause I ain't bitter,
my ticket tells me to keep on ticking till time
takes its tough turn and toll towards tomorrow.

They say I must die cause I'm full of hatred.
I say I'm hanging high, a little hard,
but harmless to even having a harmful
heart that's full of hatred...

They say I must die cause I'm corrupt...
I say I'm not corrupt, crazy, craven a coward
or even cruel... I'm a coy, canny crony,
capable of caring and I won't kick you to the
curb cause I care...

They say I must die cause I'm malignant.
I say "my oh my," I'm not mad, I merely manage
and maintain my mind from all this madness
and mud cause I'm not malignant
so I make my
move and move on...

I may be down but I'm not knocked out.
I'll talk my talk and walk my walk.

They say what they want to say.
They do what they want to do.

And me, I keep my head up high,
I won't shed a tear cause I don't fear...
